Symposium of the CRIPA

The Symposium of the CRIPA, is a series of conferences aimed to network with members of the cluster group and creating collaborations with specialists outside Quebec.

This event will allow you to be on the lookout for industry news around the world and to discover the projects of the CRIPA student community!

FORMAT

These face-to-face conferences will each highlight a theme of the pig or poultry industry by CRIPA researchers and guest researchers from Canada and abroad and the student community. They will be followed by a poster session.

WHO IS THIS ACTIVITY FOR

University students, researchers, veterinarians and any other specialist in the field who wish to learn more.

SUBMISSION OF COMMUNICATIONS

During the Symposium, lectures by the CRIPA student community and a poster session will be on the program. Any team wishing to submit a presentation must do so before the deadline, with CRIPA.

Please complete the upcoming form before the deadline.

Free for CRIPA teams, their staff and student bodies, as well as for OMVQ member veterinarians.

COMPETITION

As every year, prizes for the best talks and posters will be given to students. Anyone in a master's, doctorate or post-doctorate who submits a communication before the deadline is eligible for our competition.

LANGUAGE RESTRICTIONS

Lectures in English.

OMVQ - CONTINUOUS LEARNING

Our Symposium allows the recognition of several hours of continuing learning by the Ordre des médecins vétérinaires du Québec (OMVQ).

Two students from the University of Montreal were rewarded during the Symposium.

  • 1st Prize for best oral presentation: Servane Payen

    • Supervisors : Marcelo Gottschalk, Francis Beaudry and Mariela Segura

  • 2nd Prize for best oral presentation: Marie-Jeanne Pesant

    • Supervisors : Carl A. Gagnon and Francis Beaudry

Best Poster Award

Two students were honored during the poster session.

  • Best poster award – M.Sc. category: Laurie Piché, Université Laval

    • Supervisors : Antony Vincent et Marie-Pierre Létourneau-Montminy

  • Best poster prize – Ph.D. category: Nicolas Rivard, Université de Sherbrooke
